The Red Pyramid

Themes

There are many themes for this book, taking the reader through many twists and turns.  First, there is the theme of Good vs. Evil because it's Sadie, Carter, Horus, and Isis, ("Good"), who are trying to defeat Set, ("Evil"), before he unleashes a storm of chaos.  Another theme is friendship, because although Sadie and Carter hardly had anything in common besides their parents they formed a bond of friendship.  Also, throughout the story there is the theme of family.  Sadie and Carter, who are siblings, are trying to save their father.  Finally, there is the theme of trust, because on their journey it was hard to decide who and who not to trust.  They have to rely on their instincts, and each other, to survive and save the world.
